Friday will feature a morning visit to the Heard Museum, internationally recognized for its outstanding collection of Native American art and culture. In the afternoon, we will visit the Phoenix Art Museum, where attendees will view the museum’s fan display and enjoy a presentation by the curator of the Arizona Costume Institute on fans from the collection that are not currently on display. FANA member Jan Krulick will also present a talk on fans.
On Saturday, the Patrons will hold their annual meeting while fan sellers prepare their tables for the fan sale. The highly anticipated Fan Auction will take place in the early afternoon, followed by the Assemblage Banquet in the evening.
The FANA Board will conclude the weekend with its final meeting on Sunday morning.
